South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI), 49-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Lyon upgrades its record to 14-5 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pinckney (Pinckney, MI) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 16. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Pinckney lost 40-35 in their recent league bout against Jackson (Jackson, MI)

Next up, the Eagles play the Kettering Captains (Waterford, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Lakeland will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Captains come into the bout with a 1-19 record after their 45-16 league loss to Milford (Highland, MI).
