The Washburn Rural Blues basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Topeka Trojans to 42 in the Blues non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blues now sport a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Manhattan for a non-league contest on Friday, February 17. Washburn Rural will battle a Indians team coming off a 40-34 non-league loss to Emporia (Emporia, KS). The Indians record now stands at 9-10.
The Trojans (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hayden (Topeka, KS). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Hayden prevailed over Junction City/St. Xavier (Junction City, KS), 48-21, in a non-league contest.
