Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM), 51-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chaparral upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Silver (Silver City, NM) to play the Fighting Colts in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Fighting Colts come into the bout with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Desert Warriors play the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. Santa Teresa will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record.
