New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia succumbs to Eldorado

February 14, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87110

The Eldorado Golden Eagles topped the host Sandia Matadors basketball team by a final score of 69-60 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles face the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 game, on Friday, February 16. Eldorado will attempt to move on its 13-10 season record. The Scorpions enter the game with a 19-4 record after their 78-67 league win over West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM).

With the defeat, Sandia moves to 13-10 on the year. The Matadors travel to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Bears in a 5A District 2 game on Friday, February 16. The Bears enter the game with a record of 16-7. La Cueva won 77-55 in their recent league game against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM)
