The Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks to 42 in the Crusaders league triumph on Wednesday.

The Crusaders now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kingston for a Section 9 Orange County I contest on Thursday, February 15. Monroe-Woodbury will meet a Tigers team coming off a 63-46 non-league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 11-3.

The Goldbacks (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Washingtonville (Washingtonville, NY). The Wizards enter the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Washingtonville was routed by Monticello (Monticello, NY), 31-29, in a non-league contest.
