Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans (Windsor, CT) fans left the game thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their ice hockey team hold off the visiting Lawrenceville School Big Red (Lawrenceville, NJ), 3-2 in a non-league match.
The Pelicans (17-5) will now prepare for their match against Williston Northampton (Easthampton, MA). The Wildcats enter the match with a 17-2 record. In their last match, Williston Northampton held off Worcester Academy (Worcester, MA), 12-0, in a league match.
Next up, the Big Red encounter the Millbrook School Mustangs (Millbrook, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 17. Lawrenceville School will attempt to advance on its 7-10 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 12-9 record after their 3-1 league win over Canterbury School (New Milford, CT).
