In Friday's league contest, the visiting Santa Fe Demons basketball squad scored a tight 65-64 victory over the Eldorado Golden Eagles.
With the victory, Santa Fe advances its record to 18-6 on the year. The Demons host La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to meet the Bears in a 5A District 2 battle on Wednesday, February 19. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 15-9. La Cueva won 80-50 in their recent league battle against Capital (Santa Fe, NM)
The Golden Eagles now own a 10-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sandia for a 5A District 2 battle on Wednesday, February 19. Eldorado will meet a Matadors squad coming off a 83-35 league win over Manzano (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors record now stands at 21-3.
