In Friday's league test, the Green Mountain Chieftains (Chester, VT) basketball squad trounced the visiting Leland & Gray Rebels (Townshend, VT), by a score of 69-36.
Next, the Chieftains clash with the Arlington Memorial Eagles (Arlington, VT) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 18. Green Mountain will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 9-11 record after their 63-30 league loss to Poultney (Poultney, VT).
The Rebels (2-15) will now prepare for their test against West Rutland (West Rutland, VT). The Golden Horde come into the non-league test with a 17-2 record. In their last test, West Rutland was routed by White River Valley (Royalton, VT), 70-32, in a non-league test.
