New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia overwhelms Manzano

February 14, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87110

The Sandia Matadors basketball team scored 83 points and limited the visiting Manzano Monarchs to 35 in the Matadors league triumph on Friday.

The Matadors now possess a 21-3 record. They play next when they host Eldorado for a 5A District 2 game on Wednesday, February 19. Sandia will confront a Golden Eagles team coming off a 65-64 league loss to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 10-14.

With the loss, Manzano falls to 6-17 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 14-10. Atrisco Heritage Academy won 68-52 in their recent league game against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM)
