In Friday's non-league contest, the host Salem Witches basketball team scored a close 78-73 triumph over the Wakefield Memorial Warriors.
The Witches (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Methuen (Methuen, MA). The Rangers go into the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Methuen was tipped by St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA), 71-68, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 17. Wakefield Memorial will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 13-6 record after their 70-44 non-league win over Winthrop (Winthrop, MA).
