West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County overwhelms Braxton County

February 15, 2023: Sutton, WV 26601

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) and the host Braxton County Eagles (Sutton, WV), saw Nicholas County's basketball squad wallop Braxton County by a tally of 75-46.

With the victory, Nicholas County improves its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Nitro (Nitro, WV) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-11. Nitro won 74-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln County (Hamlin, WV)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 16. Braxton County will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 67-26 non-league win over Wood County Christian (Williamstown, WV).
