The Fitchburg Red Raiders basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Oakmont Regional Spartans to 62 in the Red Raiders non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Red Raiders now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wachusett Regional for a Midland-Wachusett A contest on Friday, February 17. Fitchburg will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 71-41 non-league win over Framingham (Framingham, MA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 7-10.

The Spartans (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Watertown (Watertown, MA). The Red Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Watertown was defeated by Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA), 56-46, in a league contest.
