The Quemado Eagles basketball team (Quemado, NM), was toppled 49-33 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM)
The Cowboys/Cowgirls now possess a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mesilla Valley Christian School for a A District 2 battle on Saturday, February 17. Cliff will confront a SonBlazers team coming off a 62-20 league loss to Magdalena (Magdalena, NM). The SonBlazers record now stands at 12-8.
The Eagles (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Animas (Animas, NM). The Panthers come into the A District 2 battle with a 2-20 record. In their last battle, Animas was toppled by Reserve (Reserve, NM), 55-49, in a league battle.
