The Springer Red Devils basketball team (Springer, NM), was overwhelmed 74-47 in Thursday's league battle with the host Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM)
The Bears now possess a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Des Moines for a A District 5 battle on Thursday, February 22. Maxwell will confront a Demons team coming off a 73-56 league win over Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM). The Demons record now stands at 21-3.
The Red Devils (8-14) will now prepare for their battle against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Trojans come into the A District 5 battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Wagon Mound was overwhelmed by Des Moines (Des Moines, NM), 56-18, in a league battle.
