Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM), 64-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Silver upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Fighting Colts travel to Deming (Deming, NM) to play the Wildcats in a 4A District 3 bout on Monday, February 19. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-22. Deming lost 38-32 in their recent league challenge against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM)

Next up, the Desert Warriors confront the Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Monday, February 19. Santa Teresa will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 9-15 record after their 38-32 league win over Deming (Deming, NM).
