The Madeira Snails basketball team (McLean, VA), was overwhelmed 57-34 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers (Washington, DC)
The Mighty Hoppers now possess a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Friendship Collegiate Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, February 16. Georgetown Day will confront a Knights team coming off a 2-0 league win over Parkside (Washington, DC). The Knights record now stands at 19-8.
The Snails (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD). The come into the Independent School battle with a 9-12 record. In their last battle, Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart trounced Holton-Arms (Bethesda, MD), 61-28, in a league battle.
