The Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) basketball felled the host West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN), 64-53 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Lakers (18-7) will now prepare for their test against Albany (Albany, MN). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 24-1 record. In their last test, Albany thwarted St. Cloud Cathedral (St. Cloud, MN), 71-33, in a league contest.
The Knights (16-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hancock (Hancock, MN). The Owls enter the A Section 6 contest with a 23-2 record. In their last contest, Hancock ran past Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (Hector, MN), 75-72, in a non-league contest.
