Washington, DC High School Basketball - Bishop O'Connell can't hold off St. John's

The Bishop O'Connell Knights basketball team (Arlington, VA), was nudged 58-53 in Friday's league battle with the host St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC)
The Cadets now sport a 22-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saint John Paul the Great Catholic for a non-league battle on Monday, February 19. St. John's will battle a Wolves team coming off a 74-62 non-league loss to DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Wolves record now stands at 8-15.
The Knights (21-7) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals come into the VISAA Division I battle with a 16-9 record. In their last battle, Bishop Ireton edged Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC), 70-53, in a non-league battle.
