Montpelier Locomotives (Montpelier, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Gorham Fayette Eagles (Fayette, OH), 52-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Montpelier upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Locomotives travel to Ayersville (Defiance, OH) to play the Pilots in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Pilots come into the bout with a record of 9-11. Ayersville won 53-29 in their recent league bout against Fairview (Sherwood, OH)

Next up, the Eagles play the Evergreen Vikings (Metamora, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Gorham Fayette will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 15-5 record after their 43-40 league loss to Liberty Center (Liberty Center, OH).
