In Friday's non-league outing, the South Gray Rebels (Montezuma, KS) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Kiowa County Mavericks (Greensburg, KS), by a count of 65-44.

The Rebels (17-2) will now prepare for their outing against Spearville (Spearville, KS). The Lancers go into the Southern Plains-Iroquois outing with a 12-8 record. In their last outing, Spearville was crushed by Meade (Meade, KS), 72-56, in a non-league outing.

The Mavericks now hold a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pawnee Heights for a Southern Plains-Iroquois outing on Tuesday, February 20. Kiowa County will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 69-52 non-league loss to Satanta (Satanta, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 3-16.
