The Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team (Elkin, NC), was routed 63-29 in Friday's league battle with the visiting South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC)

The Sauras now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Airy for a 1A Northwest battle on Tuesday, February 20. South Stokes will battle a Granite Bears team coming off a 43-32 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 6-16.

The Buckin' Elks (8-15) will now prepare for their battle against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams come into the 1A Northwest battle with a 7-17 record. In their last battle, Starmount was routed by East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 66-27, in a league battle.
