The Kearney Bearcats basketball team (Kearney, NE), was nudged 51-44 in Friday's league battle with the host Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE)
The Silver Hawks now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Papillion-LaVista for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 22. Lincoln Southwest will battle a Monarchs team coming off a 51-37 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, NE). The Monarchs record now stands at 11-11.
The Bearcats (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE). The Titans come into the A District TBD battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Papillion-LaVista South edged Omaha South (Omaha, NE), 57-29, in a league battle.
