North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central overwhelms Ashe County

The Alexander Central Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Ashe County Huskies to 34 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cougars now possess a 12-12 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 18. Alexander Central will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 70-43 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 17-6.

The Huskies now sport a 7-15 record.
