New Mexico High School Basketball - Gadsden trounced by Mayfield

The Gadsden Panthers basketball squad (Anthony, NM), was crushed 61-26 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM)

With the victory, Mayfield advances its record to 11-14 on the year. The Trojans travel to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM) to meet the Knights in a 5A District 3 battle on Friday, February 21. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 20-5. Organ Mountain won 61-25 in their recent league battle against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM)

The Panthers now own a 5-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alamogordo for a 5A District 3 battle on Thursday, February 20. Gadsden will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 62-54 league loss to Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 10-15.
