New Mexico High School Basketball - Mescalero Apache can't hold off Mesilla Valley Christian School

Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM), 51-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Mesilla Valley Christian School advances its record to 18-3 on the year. The SonBlazers travel to Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM) to face the Mavericks in a 2A District 3 match on Friday, February 21. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 12-10. Lordsburg lost 67-49 in their recent league match against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM)
The Chiefs now own a 15-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cloudcroft for a 2A District 3 match on Saturday, February 22. Mescalero Apache will face a Bears squad coming off a 49-31 league loss to Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Bears record now stands at 7-18.
