In Wednesday's league test, the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM), by a score of 73-62.
Next, the Cougars encounter the Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 1 test, on Friday, February 21. Cibola will attempt to improve on its 17-8 season record. The Hawks come into the test with a 23-2 record after their 97-65 league win over Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
The Scorpions (16-9) will now prepare for their test against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Panthers come into the 5A District 1 test with a 7-18 record. In their last test, Piedra Vista was knocked off by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 82-37, in a league test.
