Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) and the visiting Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME), saw Katahdin's basketball squad wallop Ashland by a count of 79-36.

With the victory, Katahdin upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME) to play the Warriors in a D North challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 15-0.

Next up, the Hornets play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Ashland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record.
