Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) and the visiting Johnston Speedboys (Bessemer, MI), saw Ontonagon's basketball squad hold off Johnston by a tally of 54-47.

With the victory, Ontonagon improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Gladiators travel to Wright (Ironwood, MI) to play the Red Devils in a Freelance challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Wright won 67-54 in their recent league challenge against Wakefield (Wakefield, MI)

Next up, the Speedboys play the Watersmeet Nimrods (Watersmeet, MI) in a Copper Mountain - Porcupine challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Johnston will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record.
