The Johnston Speedboys basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Ontonagon Gladiators to 52 in the Speedboys non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Speedboys now sport a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wakefield for a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 8. Johnston will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 74-64 league loss to Wright (Ironwood, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-9.

The Gladiators (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Tournament Opponent (, ). The enter the non-league contest with a 105-277 record. In their last contest, Tournament Opponent ran past Bloomfield Christian School (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 64-60, in a non-league contest.
