New Mexico High School Basketball - Coronado thwarts Chesterton Academy

The Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Chesterton Academy Saints (Albuquerque, NM), 33-25 in Thursday's league test.
The Leopards (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Dulce (Dulce, NM). The Hawks go into the non-league test with a 11-11 record. In their last test, Dulce notched a victory over Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM), 84-77, in a league test.
The Saints now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Jemez Valley for a A District 7 test on Friday, February 3. Chesterton Academy will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 61-38 league win over Coronado (Gallina, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 10-10.
