In Thursday's non-league outing, the Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the host East Rankin Academy Patriots (Pelahatchie, MS), by a margin of 80-48.
The Cougars (19-6) will now prepare for their outing against Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 19-11 record. In their last outing, Leake Academy smashed Lamar (Meridian, MS), 58-47, in a non-league outing.
