Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host St. Louis Park Orioles (St. Louis Park, MN), 85-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Orono upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Alexandria (Alexandria, MN) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 13-2. Alexandria won 67-33 in their recent league bout against Willmar (Willmar, MN)

Next up, the Orioles play the Park Center Pirates (Brooklyn Park, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. St. Louis Park will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 16-0 record after their 88-69 league win over Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN).
