Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) and the visiting Hampton Talbots (Allison Park, PA), saw Armstrong's basketball squad hold off Hampton by a tally of 48-42.

With the victory, Armstrong improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The River Hawks travel to Gateway (Monroeville, PA) to confront the Gators in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 13. The Gators come into the challenge with a record of 4-14.

Next up, the Talbots confront the Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 2 challenge, on Monday, February 6. Hampton will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 38-35 league loss to Mars (Mars, PA).
