The Breese Central Cougars basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Columbia Eagles to 32 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Alton-Wood River for a Cahokia - Mississippi contest on Friday, February 3. Breese Central will battle a Oilers team coming off a 48-23 league loss to Roxana (Roxana, IL). The Oilers record now stands at 8-17.

The Eagles (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Triad (Troy, IL). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 4-20 record. In their last contest, Triad was defeated by Highland (Highland, IL), 54-33, in a league contest.
