The Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) basketball knocked off the visiting Cove Leopards (Cove, OR), 49-35 in Thursday's league test.
The Cougars (7-9) will now prepare for their test against Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR). The Spartans go into the 1A Old Oregon test with a 1-17 record. In their last test, Pine Eagle notched a victory over Joseph (Joseph, OR), 37-30, in a league test.
The Leopards now own a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to Joseph for a 1A Old Oregon test on Friday, February 3. Cove will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 37-30 league loss to Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 6-12.
