The Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) basketball crushed the host Cross Lanes Christian Warriors (Charleston, WV), 46-16 in Thursday's league test.
The Patriots (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Pocahontas County was trounced by Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV), 54-42, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Grace Christian for a West Virginia Christian - AA test on Friday, February 3. Cross Lanes Christian will encounter a squad coming off a 42-22 non-league win over Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The record now stands at 14-3.
