Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Northfield Raiders (Northfield, MN), 60-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mankato East upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Cougars travel to Winona (Winona, MN) to play the Winhawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Winhawks go into the bout with a record of 6-11. Winona lost 43-36 in their recent non-league bout against Mankato West (Mankato, MN)

Next up, the Raiders play the Red Wing Wingers (Red Wing, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Northfield will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Wingers go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 65-59 league loss to Austin (Austin, MN).
