The Mankato East Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Northfield Raiders to 33 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Faribault for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10. Mankato East will battle a Falcons team coming off a 46-37 non-league loss to Mankato West (Mankato, MN). The Falcons record now stands at 5-14.

The Raiders (4-17) will now prepare for their contest against Century (Rochester, MN). The Panthers enter the AAAA Section 1 contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Century was defeated by Austin (Austin, MN), 57-27, in a non-league contest.
