The North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) basketball nipped the host Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA), 68-62 in Friday's league test.
The Comets (9-11) will now prepare for their test against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA). The Bluejays go into the Raccoon River test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Bondurant-Farrar was tipped by Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 65-58, in a league test.
The Bombers now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they host A-D-M for a Raccoon River test on Monday, February 5. Ballard will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 77-46 league win over Carlisle (Carlisle, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 15-1.
