In Friday's league outing, the Jena Giants (Jena, LA) basketball squad edged the host Bolton Bears (Alexandria, LA), by a margin of 41-40.
The Giants (9-9) will now prepare for their outing against Marksville (Marksville, LA). The Tigers go into the 3A District 2 outing with a 16-14 record. In their last outing, Marksville held off Buckeye (Buckeye, LA), 32-25, in a league outing.
The Bears now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they travel to Bunkie for a 3A District 2 outing on Tuesday, February 6.
