In Friday's league outing, the Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME) basketball squad edged the visiting Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), by a count of 55-52.
The Scots (3-14) will now prepare for their outing against South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Red Riots go into the AA South outing with a 7-9 record. In their last outing, South Portland was tipped by Gorham (Gorham, ME), 63-51, in a league outing.
The Spartans now hold a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Deering for a AA South outing on Tuesday, February 6. Sanford will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 66-58 league win over Thornton Academy (Saco, ME). The Rams record now stands at 7-10.
