Bryant Hornets (Bryant, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR), 56-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bryant upgrades its record to 22-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Central (Little Rock, AR) to play the Tigers in a 6A Central bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 20-4. Central won 52-41 in their recent league bout against North Little Rock (North Little Rock, AR)

Next up, the Hurricane play the Little Rock Southwest Gryphons (Little Rock, AR) in a 6A Central bout, on Monday, February 5. Jonesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Gryphons come into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 68-67 league win over Cabot (Cabot, AR).
