The Buena Vista Longhorns (Imperial, TX) basketball crushed the host Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), 60-30 in Friday's league test.

The Longhorns (22-5) will now prepare for their test against Comstock (Comstock, TX). The Panthers go into the 1A Region II District 10 test with a 15-10 record. In their last test, Comstock was trounced by Iraan (Iraan, TX), 51-47, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 7-16 record. They play next when they travel to Rankin for a 1A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, February 6. Sanderson will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 62-58 league win over Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX). The Red Devils record now stands at 6-13.
