Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), 78-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Wesleyan upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Wolves host Pickens (Jasper, GA) to play the Dragons in a AAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 16-7. Pickens lost 64-47 in their recent league bout against White County (Cleveland, GA)

Next up, the Bobcats play the West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) in a AAA Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Gilmer will attempt to upgrade on its 15-8 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 6-16 record after their 72-66 non-league win over Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA).
