In their next game, the Mustangs face the Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX) in a 1A Region I District 8 game, on Tuesday, February 6. Sands will attempt to move on its 17-9 season record. The Dragons enter the game with a 0-14 record after their 68-30 league loss to Klondike (Lamesa, TX).

With the defeat, Grady moves to 7-5 on the year. The Wildcats host Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 1A Region I District 8 game on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 1-14.
