The Maypearl Panthers (Maypearl, TX) basketball knocked off the host Grandview Zebras (Grandview, TX), 48-40 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (14-16) will now prepare for their test against Clifton (Clifton, TX). The Cubs go into the 3A Region III District 17 test with a 20-9 record. In their last test, Clifton notched a victory over West (West, TX), 44-41, in a league test.
The Zebras now own a 14-14 record. They play next when they travel to Whitney for a 3A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, February 6. Grandview will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 64-59 league loss to Keene (Keene, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-18.
