The Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) basketball felled the host Nantahala Hawks (Topton, NC), 75-64 in Friday's league test.

The Highlanders (5-14) will now prepare for their test against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Eagles go into the 1A Little Smoky test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, Hiwassee Dam thwarted Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC), 73-34, in a league test.

The Hawks now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Blue Ridge Early College for a 1A Little Smoky test on Tuesday, February 6. Nantahala will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 73-34 league loss to Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-14.
