James Kenan Tigers (Warsaw, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC), 84-63 in a league bout.

With the win, James Kenan upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Tigers host Kinston (Kinston, NC) to play the Vikings in a 2A East Central bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Kinston lost 72-62 in their recent league bout against Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Southwest Onslow Stallions (Jacksonville, NC) in a 2A East Central bout, on Tuesday, February 6. South Lenoir will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Stallions go into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 72-62 league win over Kinston (Kinston, NC).
