Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waukee Warriors (Waukee, IA), 66-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Johnston upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Dragons travel to Ankeny (Ankeny, IA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Ankeny won 76-63 in their recent league bout against Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Valley Tigers (Elgin, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Waukee will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 84-60 non-league win over Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).
