The Keene Chargers (Keene, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Whitney Wildcats (Whitney, TX), 64-59 in Friday's league test.

The Chargers (17-13) will now prepare for their test against West (West, TX). The Trojans go into the 3A Region III District 17 test with a 5-17 record. In their last test, West was tipped by Clifton (Clifton, TX), 44-41, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 6-18 record. They play next when they host Grandview for a 3A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, February 6. Whitney will encounter a Zebras squad coming off a 48-40 league loss to Maypearl (Maypearl, TX). The Zebras record now stands at 14-14.
